The international festival of American music and culture of the '40s and '50s in Senigallia
Summer Jamboree is the most important international event dedicated to American music and culture of the '40s and '50s. Founded in 2000, every summer it transforms Senigallia, a pearl of the Adriatic in the province of Ancona, in the Marche region, into a large open-air set where the spirit, sounds and style of post-war America are revived. It is considered the largest festival of its kind in the world by number of visitors and one of the most anticipated vintage events in Europe.
The heart of the festival is live music: rock'n'roll, swing, rockabilly, rhythm'n'blues, doo-wop, hillbilly, country & western swing, dixieland and boogie woogie alternate on multiple stages throughout the city. The concerts, largely free, host bands, orchestras and soloists from all over the world, accompanied by DJ sets that liven up the nights from noon until dawn.
The squares and the Senigallia promenade fill with dance floors where thousands of enthusiasts dance Lindy Hop, Boogie Woogie, Balboa and Jive. For those who want to learn or improve, there are the renowned Dance Camp and Boot Camp with international-level instructors, as well as free lessons open to all ages.
Summer Jamboree is also an immersive experience in vintage culture: the market with vintage clothing, records and objects, the vintage car and motorcycle exhibitions, burlesque shows, the barber shop, the Hawaiian-style beach and the iconic after-parties at the Rotonda a Mare. Everything contributes to recreating the atmosphere of 1950s America.
The festival takes place in various areas of the historic center and the promenade of Senigallia: Piazza Garibaldi with the main stage, Piazza del Duca and the Rocca Roveresca, Piazza Roma, Piazza Simoncelli with vintage cars, the Levante and Ponente promenade and the Rotonda a Mare. A route that intertwines the city's historical heritage with 20th-century pop culture, making Senigallia and the Marche region an unmissable destination for lovers of the genre.
Summer Jamboree 2026 celebrates its 26th edition in Senigallia. The pre-festival is scheduled for Friday, July 31, 2026, while the festival runs from Saturday, August 1 to Sunday, August 9, 2026.
