The summer craft fair in the heart of Trecastagni, on Mount Etna
This edition has not been confirmed by the organiser to date. We recommend checking before going.
The Summer Craft Fair is one of the most anticipated events of the summer in Trecastagni, a town in the Etna area of the Province of Catania, Sicily. Every year in July, Piazza Marconi and the town center come alive with open-air stalls dedicated to craftsmanship and creativity, creating an evening setting perfect for strolling and socializing.
The fair brings together artisans, hobbyists, artists, and creatives from the Etna region and across Sicily. Along the stalls, you will find handmade crafts, gift items, jewelry, vintage goods, decorations, and traditional Sicilian products. It is the ideal opportunity to discover the work of small local artisans and take home a unique piece.
The choice of evening hours, from late afternoon until midnight, is perfectly suited to the Sicilian summer climate: sun and sea by day, and a stroll through the town stalls by night. Trecastagni, overlooking the southeastern slopes of Mount Etna, offers a cool and pleasant climate on summer nights, perfect for enjoying the historic center outdoors.
The Summer Craft Fair is part of the broader program of events that animate Trecastagni in Summer, featuring shows, music, food and wine trails, and cultural initiatives that accompany residents and visitors throughout the season. Alongside the famous Feast of Saint Alfio and the autumn Chestnut Festival, the fair contributes to the identity of a town deeply rooted in its popular and artisanal traditions.
