For the first time in its history, the Strega Tour is stopping in Campobasso, bringing the finalists of the Premio Strega (Strega Prize), Italy's most important literary award, to the capital of Molise. The event is held in the Ester Giovannitti Auditorium at Palazzo GIL, on Via Milano.
A Historic Debut
The Molise stop marks an absolute debut for the region and coincides with the 80th edition of the Strega Prize. Guiding the audience through the voices and stories of the candidates is the writer and journalist Valentina Farinaccio. The initiative is promoted by the Municipal Administration of Campobasso and produced by Aps Tèkne, with the support of the Fondazione BCC Valle del Trigno.
An Encounter with the Prize's Protagonists
The names of the finalists are announced in early June, and the event offers the people of Molise the chance to meet the authors competing for the final victory. A valuable opportunity for the capital city to fully join the circuit of major Italian literary events.
