Opening of the historic palace of Spinete, set up on the theme of weddings
In the heart of the historic center of Spinete, a village in the Matese mountains in the province of Campobasso, stands Palazzo Tommasi, a historic building that has recently been donated to the Municipality and has undergone redecoration. The opening to the public represents an important opportunity for the town to enhance its architectural heritage.
The palace is presented with a themed setup, dedicated to weddings, featuring period furnishings and reconstructions that tell the story of traditional weddings and domestic life of the past. The visit allows visitors to connect with the history and material culture of Spinete through the restored rooms of the building.
The initiative takes place over three days at the end of June, offering residents and visitors the chance to discover or rediscover this historic building in the Molise Matese region, a symbol of heritage recovered and returned to the community.
The 2026 initiative dedicated to Palazzo Tommasi takes place from June 23 to 25 in Spinete. For three days, the historic building, recently donated to the Municipality and redecorated, can be visited with a themed setup on weddings, recounting the wedding traditions and domestic life of the past.
