A pink celebration in the heart of Piacenza

StraWoman is the largest "all-female" event in Italy: a 5-kilometer non-competitive run-walk dedicated to women, but also open to their companions, who wish to spend a day of celebration made of sport, music, and fun. Born in 2011, StraWoman has become a true tour over the years that crosses numerous Italian cities, and the stop in Piacenza, in the heart of Emilia-Romagna, is one of the most heartfelt appointments on the calendar.

The route and the atmosphere

The 5 km route winds through the symbolic landmarks of the city, allowing participants to discover or rediscover glimpses and monuments of the historic center of the Municipality of Piacenza. The start and finish are set at Borgo FaxHall, which for the occasion transforms into a large village with music, collective warm-up, entertainment, and final refreshment. The stopwatch doesn't matter: the goal is to walk or run together, dressed in pink, in a climate of joy and sharing that involves women of all ages, families, and groups of friends.

Sport, well-being, and solidarity

StraWoman is much more than just a race: it's an opportunity to celebrate the well-being and strength of women. The event has a strong solidarity dimension: by adding one euro to the registration fee, you can support WeWorld, the event's charitable partner, which promotes fundraising for Spazi Donna (Women's Spaces), safe and protected places dedicated to women in difficulty or victims of violence. Participating therefore means combining outdoor physical activity with a concrete gesture of support.

An event for everyone

Thanks to its non-competitive format, StraWoman Piacenza is accessible to everyone: no special training or preparation is needed, just the desire to get moving and be part of a large pink wave. Each registered participant receives a race kit with an official t-shirt, bag, participation medal, and refreshment, while the village offers entertainment before and after the run. It is one of the most colorful and attended events of the Piacenza spring, capable of transforming the city streets into a great moment of celebration, sport, and social interaction.
