Strascinando

The Strascinando 2025 festival enlivened the historic center of Canosa di Puglia on Sunday, August 3, confirming its status as one of the most beloved events of the Estate Canosina. The day opened in Piazza Vittorio Veneto with the conference "Memory on the Plate: A Journey into the World of Toasted Wheat", moderated by journalist Vito Troilo, with contributions from professors Michele Carlo Lo Storto, Francesco Lops, and Giacomo Giancaspero, chef Antonio Di Nunno, and the president of the Accademia del Grano Arso, Nunzio Margiotta.

In the squares, local pasta-makers prepared toasted wheat strascinati live, which were offered for tasting to the large public. In the evening, the festivities continued with music: the "Giuseppe Verdi" town band of Canosa, conducted by maestro Pino Lentini, and performances by Gino Cioci, Caterina Cannati (Kataos), Marianna Di Gennaro, Vito Sienese, and the Litfiba cover band "Balas del Diablo".
