The hallmark of Stracastelnuovo is its evening setting: the race takes place at sunset, when the summer heat gives way to the cool air of the Scrivia Park, the lush green area along the river that gives the route its most picturesque character. The main race follows a loop of approximately 7.5 kilometers, accessible to both registered athletes and those who prefer a leisurely walking pace. Before the adult race, the younger participants take the stage with a dedicated event for primary and middle school students.

The 11th edition of Stracastelnuovo returns in the heart of summer, on Tuesday, June 16, 2026, confirming the evening format that has made this non-competitive fun run and walk popular in the province of Alessandria. The event takes place entirely in Castelnuovo Scrivia, with the main square serving as the hub of the festivities.
For 2026, the event maintains its charitable spirit: registration proceeds support the "Franca Cassola Pasquali" Association. The evening will be framed by music with DJ sets, food stalls, and refreshment points.

Tuesday, June 16, 2026
- 6:30 PM — Participants gather in Piazza Vittorio Emanuele II
- 7:00 PM — Kids' race (primary and middle school students), short course in the town center
- 8:00 PM — Start of the adult run and walk: loop of approximately 7.5 km through the Scrivia Park
- Followed by — Final refreshments, music and DJ set, local food stalls
The adult race is open to both competitive runners (FIDAL members, sports promotion bodies with a medical certificate, or those with a runcard) and those choosing the non-competitive walk.

How to get there
Castelnuovo Scrivia is located in the Lower Scrivia Valley, in the province of Alessandria. By car, it can be reached via the A7 Milan-Genoa motorway (Tortona or Castelnuovo Scrivia exits) and the A21 Turin-Piacenza motorway. The nearest train station is Tortona, on the Milan-Genoa line, from where you can continue by car or local connections.
Meeting point and start
Meeting point at Piazza Vittorio Emanuele II. The kids' race starts at 7:00 PM, and the adult run and walk starts at 8:00 PM.
Registration and fees
Registration fee is 10 euros for adults and 5 euros for children, including a race pack and refreshments. Spots are limited to 200 participants. Registration is available at the Studio Natural Kinesis (Via Solferino 49), online via QR code, via email at [email protected] (for competitive athletes), or on the day of the race.
