A day dedicated to psychophysical well-being in the medieval village of Calendasco
The StarBene Festival is the event that, for an entire day, makes the Castle of Calendasco and its village the heart of a journey dedicated to psychophysical well-being. We are in the Municipality of Calendasco, in the province of Piacenza, in the Emilian plain touched by the Po River, where a manor house stands, with its oldest parts dating back to around the year 1000: a suggestive setting steeped in history that serves as the backdrop for an event designed to rediscover balance and harmony.
The idea behind the festival is simple and generous: to offer the opportunity to try out well-being techniques, disciplines, and treatments for free. Throughout the day, workshops, and individual and collective experiences take place, ranging from yoga to dance therapy, from essential oils to meditation, including theatrical improvisation, face and hand massages, foot reflexology, natural cosmetic advice, and moments of emotional support with life coaches.
Alongside the practical sessions, there is a program of conferences and in-depth discussions, hosted in the rooms of the medieval castle. Topics include acupuncture, reflexology, emotional biology, yoga, and music therapy, with speakers guiding the public to discover different approaches to self-care and the balance between body and mind.
The festival is not just about well-being: along the village streets, there is a market of organic and local products, featuring producers and artisans, while food stands are open from noon until dinner, offering a menu focused on healthy eating. The day is also marked by dance performances, from lindy hop to ethnic dances, culminating in an evening concert that closes the event in the main square.
