Two days of Irish culture and music in Briga Novarese
St. Patrick on the Cusio is the festival that brings the spirit of St. Patrick and the colors of Ireland to Briga Novarese, a small town in the Cusio area nestled among the rolling hills between Lake Orta and the Novara plains, in the province of Novara, in the heart of Piedmont. For two days, the town's Oratory transforms into a corner of Ireland filled with live music, traditional dance, beer, and conviviality.
The event is organized by Claddagh Fest, the association that has been promoting Celtic music, art, and culture in the Novara area for years, together with the Pro Loco of Briga Novarese and Bar In. The goal is to introduce the Cusio public to Irish traditions through a program that weaves together concerts, dance, gastronomy, and social gatherings in a festive atmosphere suitable for all ages.
The heart of St. Patrick on the Cusio is live Irish and folk music, with bands from the Northern Italian Celtic scene taking turns on stage. There is also space for Irish dancing, with beginner lessons that allow everyone to try their hand at traditional steps, as well as entertainment and workshops designed for families and children.
Located between Lake Orta and Borgomanero, Briga Novarese is an ideal stop for discovering the Cusio, a land of lakes, rural oratories, and local traditions. St. Patrick on the Cusio is an opportunity to experience the town in a festive and international light, combining the discovery of the Novara region with the charm of Irish culture.
The St. Patrick on the Cusio 2026 festival takes place in Briga Novarese on March 7 and 8, organized by Claddagh Fest together with the Pro Loco and Bar In. The program alternates festive moments for all ages: opening of the market and street food, workshops for children, a literary presentation, an Irish dance lesson for beginners by Celtic Roses, and evening live Celtic music concerts, featuring the Irish folk bands Folkamiseria and Bards From Yesterday as headliners. Irish and craft beers and food stalls will also be available.
