The Spring Festival, also known as Cavalese in Bloom, is the event that marks the arrival of the beautiful season every year in the historic center of Cavalese, the main village of Val di Fiemme, in the Province of Trento (Trentino-Alto Adige). For an entire day, the town's streets are closed to traffic and filled with plants, flowers, and artisanal offerings, attracting families, curious visitors, and gardening enthusiasts from across the valley.

The flower market

The heart of the festival is the flower market, featuring numerous exhibitors of ornamental and garden plants. Nurserymen and producers offer seasonal blooms, aromatic herbs, and balcony and vegetable garden plants, providing useful advice to those looking to prepare their green space for spring and summer. Alongside the flowers, artisans and hobbyists present floral-themed creations and handmade items, from decorations to unique crafts.

Activities for families and children

The Spring Festival is designed as a day for the whole family. A dedicated children's area is set up with structures and bouncy castles, along with creative workshops designed to stimulate the imagination of the little ones. Strolling among the stands, amidst colors and scents, becomes an experience for all ages, immersed in the lively atmosphere of the historic center of Cavalese.

The event, organized by the Pro Loco Eventi Cavalesani, is now a fixed appointment on the spring calendar of the Municipality of Cavalese. Its location in the heart of the UNESCO World Heritage Dolomites adds charm to the event: the festival combines the tradition of the flower market with the discovery of one of the most characteristic villages in Trentino, an ideal starting point for excursions and walks in the nature of Val di Fiemme.
