The Spring Book Fair is a well-established tradition in Cremona: with the arrival of the warmer season, the historic center of the Lombard city transforms into a large open-air cultural salon, where reading takes center stage. Promoted by the Municipality of Cremona, the event combines the dimension of the book market with that of author meetings, in a widespread program that lasts for weeks.

A Month of Bookstalls

The heart of the fair are the book stalls set up in the Galleria 25 Aprile, which for about a month offer citizens and visitors volumes of all kinds: new releases, classics, specialized publications, books for children and young people. A walk among the stalls that invites you to discover, browse, and purchase, rediscovering the pleasure of the book as an object and as an encounter.

Author Meetings from March to May

The calendar of author meetings extends well beyond the month of the bookstalls, enlivening the city from March to May. A packed schedule of presentations involves various halls in the historic center, from the Event Hall of Spazio Comune to the Zanoni Hall, offering a showcase for both local writers and prominent national figures, in constant dialogue between authors and the public.

With its formula that intertwines a book market and cultural meetings, the Spring Book Fair is an identity-defining event for Cremona and its Province, capable of attracting diverse audiences to reading and animating the historic center with an accessible and participatory cultural offering.
