Edition 2025 — Fish Soup Festival

In the summer of 2025, the Fish Soup Festival enlivened, as it does every year, the historic center of Sperlonga in the second half of August. The large communal tables set up in the village alleys welcomed residents and tourists around the signature dish of Sperlonga cuisine: fish soup prepared with scorpionfish, weever, baby squid, mussels, and prawns, served with toasted bread and accompanied by local white wines.

The 2025 edition

The 2025 edition of the Fish Soup Festival took place according to the established formula that has made this event one of the most anticipated of the Sperlonga summer: communal tables in the historic center, distribution of the Sperlonga-style fish soup, and festive evenings in the white alleys of the village overlooking the Tyrrhenian Sea.

The star dish remained faithful to the local maritime tradition recipe: rockfish such as scorpionfish, weever, and tub gurnard, combined with mussels, clams, baby squid, and prawns, cooked in a fragrant broth to be soaked up with toasted bread. A collective ritual that every August renews the bond between Sperlonga, its sea, and its history as a fishing village, attracting visitors from across the province of Latina and the rest of the Lazio region.
