SpazioFesta, the heart of summer in Pieve a Nievole
For over thirty years, SpazioFesta has been the quintessential village festival of Pieve a Nievole, located in the heart of the Valdinievole area in the province of Pistoia, Tuscany. Every year, at the start of summer, the Ivo Rastelli public park — the spacious garden between Via Empolese and Via Cantarelle — transforms into a vibrant festival hub that brings the community together and attracts thousands of visitors from across the province.
A tradition of volunteering
The event is organized by the Comitato Volontario Rione Empolese "Ivo Rastelli" APS, under the patronage of the Municipality of Pieve a Nievole. Every evening is made possible by the hard work of many volunteers, including local youths who manage one of the festival bars: a model of participation that has made SpazioFesta much more than just a food festival, turning it into a true local gathering point.
What to expect at the festival
The program is designed for all ages to enjoy a relaxing evening:
- Restaurant and pizzeria serving traditional dishes at affordable prices;
- The famous bomboloni (filled doughnuts), the festival's signature treat;
- Two bars, one of which is run by the SpazioFesta youth team;
- Dance floor with music and dance evenings;
- Free live entertainment every night;
- Funfair with rides for both children and adults;
- Charity raffle hosted by the Misericordia of Pieve a Nievole;
- Wheel of fortune and exhibition stands from local associations.

SpazioFesta reserves a special place for children with the Children's Festival, featuring entertainment, restaurant discounts, and special offers on funfair rides. SpazioFesta 2026 brings the Ivo Rastelli garden in Pieve a Nievole to life from June 11 to 29, open every evening except Mondays and Tuesdays. The restaurant and pizzeria, bomboloni, dance floor, free live shows, funfair, charity raffle, and wheel of fortune remain the main attractions. The event is organized by the Comitato Volontario Rione Empolese "Ivo Rastelli" APS, with the patronage of the Municipality of Pieve a Nievole.

Dates and times
SpazioFesta 2026 takes place from June 11 to 29, every evening except Mondays and Tuesdays. Evening opening; restaurant and pizzeria open from 8:00 PM.

Children's Festival — June 15, 16, and 23
Three evenings dedicated to children with a 10% discount at the restaurant and pizzeria. On June 23, at the funfair, enjoy "buy 1 get 1 free" on tokens and a 1-euro discount on paid rides.
Side event
The program is preceded by a running race in memory of David Ignudi (Sunday, June 7, 2026, at 9:00 AM), a traditional sporting event linked to the festival.

How to get there
By car: Take the Montecatini Terme exit on the A11 Firenze-Mare motorway, just a few minutes from Pieve a Nievole. By train: Montecatini Terme-Monsummano station, well-connected to Florence, Pistoia, and Lucca, followed by a short bus or taxi ride.
Admission and hours
Free admission. The festival opens in the evening, with the restaurant and pizzeria starting at 8:00 PM. Closed on Mondays and Tuesdays.
Restaurant reservations
