South Tyrol Speck Festival 2025
The 2025 edition took place on Saturday, September 27 and Sunday, September 28. Due to unfavorable weather forecasts, the festival was moved from the summit of Plan de Corones to the center of Bruneck, animating Piazza Tschurtschenthaler and the Town Hall Square from approximately 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM.
The program featured guided tastings of PGI South Tyrol Speck paired with South Tyrolean cheeses, wines, and apples, a rich gourmet market with producers, the opening with a traditional South Tyrolean snack, and the traditional cutting of the ham at noon. A major highlight was the show-cooking session with chef Matthias Kirchler, who presented various speck-based recipes, from home cooking to fine dining. The two days were accompanied by live music from South Tyrolean bands and folk groups.
