About Social Tour
A festival that puts inclusion at the heart of everything
Founded in 2024 by Mattia Del Forno and the Coffee Records label, the Social Tour has quickly become one of the most recognizable fixtures in the cultural calendar of Guidonia Montecelio, the third-largest municipality in the Lazio region, just outside Rome. The concept is as simple as it is ambitious: using music, sport, and performing arts as a common language to discuss disability, diversity, and participation, without rhetoric or barriers.
The festival is entirely free to attend and is supported by the Municipality of Guidonia Montecelio, the Lazio Region, the ASL Roma 5 health authority, and the Italian Paralympic Committee. Every evening features an interpretation service in LIS (Italian Sign Language), provided by the Quattrotto APS association: a choice that is not merely a technical detail, but a concrete expression of the event's philosophy.
Three days, three venues, three languages
The structure of the Social Tour is designed to physically traverse the city. The first day takes place at the Teatro Imperiale in Piazza Matteotti and is dedicated to the spoken word and the stage: monologues, poetry readings, social theater, and contributions from associations committed to prevention and education.
The second day moves to the Stadio Comunale Città dell'Aria, which becomes the stage for inclusive and Paralympic sports: demonstrations, tournaments, flash mobs, and meetings with athletes sharing their personal journeys. The third and final day concludes at the Village Buzzi Unicem, on Via Sant'Angelo Romano, where an afternoon of workshops, street art, and performances gives way to the main stage concerts in the evening.
Music, renowned names, and emerging talent
The musical programming of the Social Tour naturally alternates between nationally acclaimed artists and local acts. Over the years, the stage has hosted names such as Zero Assoluto, Shade, the Ladri di Carrozzelle — a historic band that has been bringing disability into Italian rock for over thirty years — and Federico Zampaglione. Alongside them, there is space for bands and singer-songwriters who have grown up between Guidonia, Tivoli, and the Aniene Valley, as well as winners of local contests and musical projects born in mental health centers and local associations.
Beyond the stage: workshops and community
A large part of the event's identity happens off-stage. The final afternoon at the Village hosts:
- creative workshops for children and families;
- areas dedicated to inclusive sports with trials open to everyone;
- inclusive fashion shows and body painting performances;
- live street art and exhibition spaces for local artists;
- a street food area open throughout the evening.
It is a participatory formula rather than a purely spectacular one: those who come to the Social Tour are not just called to watch, but to engage in activities, try a sport, attend a workshop, and dialogue with the associations present.
Guidonia Montecelio and the surrounding area
Located just over twenty kilometers from Rome, at the foot of the Cornicolani Mountains, Guidonia Montecelio combines the historic village of Montecelio, with its panoramic views of the Roman countryside, and the modern city built in the 1930s around the military airport — hence the name of the stadium, Città dell'Aria (City of the Air). The Social Tour fits into this context as a deeply local event, yet one capable of attracting audiences from the entire province and Rome, also thanks to the proximity of Tivoli and its UNESCO World Heritage villas.
For those visiting Lazio in late spring, the event offers the chance to discover a part of the Roman metropolitan area far from the usual tourist circuits, within a popular, free, and accessible festival setting.

Social Tour 2026: the third edition
From May 22 to 24, 2026, Guidonia Montecelio hosted the third edition of the Social Tour, conceived by Mattia Del Forno and Alessia Croce with Coffee Records and realized with the patronage of the Municipality, the Lazio Region, ASL Roma 5, and the Italian Paralympic Committee.
Three days, three venues, and three different registers: words and theater at the Teatro Imperiale, inclusive sports at the Stadio Città dell'Aria, music and workshops at the Village Buzzi Unicem. As always, admission was free and every event was made accessible thanks to LIS interpretation provided by Quattrotto APS.

How to get there
By car: take the Guidonia exit on the A24 Rome-L'Aquila motorway, then follow signs for the city center. By train: Guidonia-Montecelio-Sant'Angelo station on the FL2 Rome Tiburtina-Tivoli-Avezzano line, with local buses to the center and festival venues. By plane: Rome Fiumicino or Ciampino airports, then rail connection via Rome Tiburtina.

Admission
All events are free and do not require reservations. Shows are accompanied by LIS interpretation, and areas are accessible to people with physical disabilities.
Tips
The evenings at the Village start in the late afternoon: it is best to arrive early for the workshops and stay for the main stage concerts. A street food area is available. For those arriving from outside the region, Tivoli offers the widest selection of hotels and B&Bs just a few kilometers away.
