Slow Food on the outskirts of Pavia
SlowPo is the day dedicated to slow food culture held in Travacò Siccomario, a municipality in the province of Pavia located at the point where the Ticino River meets the Po River, within the Ticino Park. Organized by the local Slow Food community, the event takes place at Tenuta Corte Vittoria, an ancient 18th-century Lombard farmhouse (formerly Cascina Campolungo) immersed in the Siccomario countryside.
Food, Water, and Territory
SlowPo's program intertwines gastronomy, environment, and conviviality. Activities include: a mill workshop, a polenta-based lunch, wooden games for children, and a cycling tour to discover the farmhouses and agricultural landscape. The cultural heart of the day is a conference dedicated to the land and water routes of the Siccomario, with the participation of entities such as Cittaslow, the VENTO project, the Province of Pavia, the Ticino Park, and the Municipality.
A Cittaslow Village
Travacò Siccomario is part of the Cittaslow network, the international movement of good living cities born within Slow Food. SlowPo is a natural expression of this: an event that focuses on slowness, food quality, soft mobility, and the enhancement of a fragile and precious river territory, just a few kilometers from Pavia.
SlowPo — edition 2026
For 2026 too, the Slow Food community of the Siccomario is bringing back SlowPo, its day dedicated to slow food culture, at Tenuta Corte Vittoria in Travacò Siccomario (Pavia), in the heart of the Ticino Park.
The precise date will be announced by the organizers shortly before the event. The day maintains its tried-and-tested structure: mill workshop, polenta lunch, wooden games for children, cycling tour through the farmhouses, and a conference on the land and water routes of the Siccomario, with the participation of Cittaslow, VENTO, the Province of Pavia, the Ticino Park, and the Municipality.
