An elegant and mysterious dinner in the village of Sgurgola

In the heart of the Lepini Mountains, in the province of Frosinone, the small town of Sgurgola hosts one of the most original events in the Lazio region every summer: the White Dinner. Organized by the Pro Loco Sgurgola with the patronage of the Municipality, the event follows the international formula of "unconventional dinners": a large outdoor meal where all participants dress strictly in white and sit at the same table, surrounded by candles, flowers, and a dreamy atmosphere.

The charm of a secret location

One of the most beloved features of the event is the mystery surrounding the dinner's location: the venue is only revealed shortly before the date, giving participants the surprise of seeing a familiar corner of the town transformed into a stunning backdrop. The initiative was born with the specific goal of rediscovering and highlighting the lesser-known corners of the village, turning them, if only for one night, into places of encounter, beauty, and sharing.

The five "Es" that guide the event

The Sgurgola White Dinner is inspired by five principles that have always been at its heart:

• Ecology, with a focus on sustainability and decorum;

• Elegance, expressed through the traditional total-white dress code.

Art and memory: the "Dipingere la Musica" project

The evening is not just about gastronomy and music: the White Dinner is also a tribute to Franco Olivetti, a photographer from Sgurgola and creator of the "Dipingere la Musica" (Painting Music) project, which has revitalized the town's spaces through murals created by various artists. Each year, the Pro Loco continues this message by restoring one of the project's works, presented to the public at the start of the evening: a deep bond between urban art, collective memory, and community celebration.

Live music, DJ sets, and after-party

The typical program for the event begins in the late afternoon with the presentation of the restored mural, followed by the dinner itself from 8:30 PM, accompanied by live music. From 11:00 PM, the evening continues with the after-party: special cocktails, DJ sets, and music under the stars until late at night.

A complete menu at an affordable price

Participation includes a complete menu with drinks included for 25 euros. Reservations are mandatory and places are limited: a detail that contributes to the intimate and curated atmosphere of the evening, very different from large town festivals.

Sgurgola and the Ciociaria to discover

The White Dinner is also an opportunity to discover Sgurgola, a village perched on the slopes of the Lepini Mountains in the Lazio region, between Anagni and the Sacco Valley. The historic center, the murals of the "Dipingere la Musica" project, and the views over the Ciociaria region provide the backdrop for an event that, edition after edition, has become one of the most anticipated appointments of the Lepini summer.
