Cinema and Theatre Under the Stars at Villa Breda
Sguardi is the film and theatre festival promoted by the Municipality of Padova – Department of Culture, dedicated to local talents. The event takes place in the evocative setting of Villa Breda, in the San Lazzaro district, where the park transforms into an open-air stage for some summer evenings.
A Showcase for Local Creativity
The program alternates theatrical performances, screenings of short films and documentaries by local directors, evenings dedicated to cinema and new technologies, and moments reserved for emerging theatre. The evenings are organized by themes — from the roots of Paduan creativity to visions of the future, from local theatre to young talents — celebrating artists and authors from the region.

The 2026 edition of Sguardi enlivens the park of Villa Breda, in Padova, during the month of June, with the usual program of evenings dedicated to cinema and theatre by talents from the Paduan and Venetian territory.
The evenings, outdoors and mostly free admission, are organized by themes: from the roots and visions of Paduan creativity to visions of the future between cinema and new technologies, from local theatre ("Voci e maschere") to emerging young talents and outdoor screenings with short films and documentaries by local directors.
