Settembre ai Fichi 2025: the Casalsottano agro-festival

From September 3 to 7, 2025, the village of Casalsottano, in San Mauro Cilento (province of Salerno), hosted a new edition of Settembre ai Fichi, promoted by the RigeneraMente ETS association with the Nuovo Cilento Agricultural Cooperative.

The opening, on Wednesday, September 3, was entrusted to the inaugural evening «FI...COMINCIA!», with white figs paired with Parmigiano Reggiano PDO, local cheeses, breads, wines, and local oils, and an exchange of international recognition between the Nuovo Cilento Cooperative and the Ghanaian Agrihouse Foundation; in the afternoon, a meeting on community maps and educational bio-farm projects was held.

In the following days, the program alternated historical walks in Casalsoprano, a seminar dedicated to production strategies and future prospects for the Cilento White Fig PDO, a walk with a gourmet stop at the Al Frantoio restaurant, and, on Sunday, a show cooking session on white figs and Slow Food Presidia. Every evening featured a different concert: from the Caffeina Band to Vincenzo Romano «Il Cantore Pellegrino», from Temèia Musica Popolare to Kiepo — Tarantella Road, up to RittAntico, with a cabaret evening and a wine and peach party closing the Saturday.

Wednesday, September 3 — 5:30 PM: meeting «Community maps of Cilento communities: new educational bio-farm projects» at the Nuovo Cilento Coop; 8:30 PM: inaugural evening «FI...COMINCIA!» with white figs, Parmigiano Reggiano PDO, cheeses, breads, wines, and local oils and exchange of recognition with the Agrihouse Foundation (Ghana); from 9:30 PM: Caffeina Band concert. Thursday, September 4 — 10:00 AM: historical walk in Casalsoprano with cultural stops; from 9:30 PM: concert by Vincenzo Romano, Il Cantore Pellegrino. Friday, September 5 — 6:30 PM: seminar «Cilento White Fig PDO: production strategies and future prospects» at the Nuovo Cilento Coop; from 9:30 PM: Temèia Musica Popolare. Saturday, September 6 — 10:00 AM: walk with gourmet stop at the Al Frantoio restaurant; 9:00 PM: cabaret show with Franco Guzzo; from 10:00 PM: Kiepo — Tarantella Road concert; at midnight, wine and peach party with DJs Paolo Antonucci and Pietro Guariglia. Sunday, September 7 — 11:00 AM: «The White Fig meets Slow Food Presidia», show cooking by Vincenzo Merola at the Nuovo Cilento Coop; from 9:30 PM: RittAntico concert. Every evening: tastings, stalls of local products and crafts along the streets of Casalsottano.
