A festival that spans the centuries
The Secular Festival of Saint Anthony in Vergoman, a hamlet of the Municipality of Miane (province of Treviso), is one of the oldest winter festivals in the Upper Treviso March: a centuries-old tradition linked to the cult of Saint Anthony Abbot, protector of animals and fire. It takes place in the heart of the Prosecco Hills, a UNESCO World Heritage site.
The month of fire and Venetian cuisine
The festival is nicknamed the "month of fire" due to its timing in the dead of winter. Under a covered and heated marquee, the gastronomic stand offers robust traditional cuisine: tripe, beans with rind, polenta, sausages, ribs, cheeses, grilled meat, and homemade desserts. January 17th opens with "Sopa co le tripe", the typical snack.
The rite of Saint Anthony Abbot
The religious heart of the festival is January 17th, the day of Saint Anthony Abbot, with Holy Mass, blessings, and moments of community sharing. On the last two Sundays, the festival offers lunches based on Treviso Radicchio PGI, one of the territory's gastronomic excellences.

The Secular Festival of Saint Anthony takes place from January 9 to 25, 2026, at the Multipurpose Center in Vergoman, a hamlet of Miane (TV), traditionally from the second to the fourth weekend of January.
