A humanist photography exhibition on the Riviera del Brenta

In the heart of Mira, along the Riviera del Brenta in the province of Venice, the Oratorio di Villa dei Leoni hosts "Scatti Marginali," the photographic exhibition dedicated to the work of Alessandro Punzo. The exhibited images stem from the author's travels and tell the story of daily life in its most diverse contexts, with a particular focus on people and their smallest gestures.

The author's gaze

The common thread of the project is a human and non-spectacular gaze: Punzo does not seek the postcard view, but the detail on the margins, the dignity of ordinary situations, the closeness with those being photographed. Hence the title, "Scatti Marginali" (Marginal Shots), which invites the visitor to focus on what usually remains out of frame.

The venue: Villa dei Leoni

The exhibition is part of the cultural calendar of the Municipality of Mira and enhances the Oratorio di Villa dei Leoni, an exhibition space overlooking the Naviglio del Brenta, a short walk from the center of Mira. The setting in a historic Venetian villa adds charm to the visit, in an area famous for its patrician residences along the river.
