Saracinesco Polenta Festival

On Sunday, September 28, 2025, Saracinesco hosted the 33rd edition of the Polenta Festival, organized by the Pro Loco with the patronage of the Municipality. From 12:00 PM to 3:30 PM, food stands distributed polenta prepared according to the local peasant recipe, slow-cooked in cauldrons and topped with tomato sauce, pork ribs, and sausages; for vegetarians, a version with Roman broccoli was available.

Each visitor received a complete meal—polenta, sausage, bread, wine, and water—served in the wooden scifetta, the typical Lazio tray kept as a souvenir. All ingredients were sourced from local producers in the area. The day was enlivened by live music in the square featuring classic Italian songs, while a free shuttle service connected the external parking lots to the entrance of the village, at an altitude of 908 meters with a view over the Aniene Valley.
