Sapori in cammino - The Oil Trail: A Wellness Journey

The sixth edition: the triumph of DOP Sabina oil

On Sunday, September 28, 2025, Montelibretti hosted the sixth edition of Sapori in cammino, titled The Oil Trail: A Wellness Journey. The day opened at 9:00 AM with mass, followed at 10:00 AM by the gathering along via Roma and free registration for the walk.

At 10:30 AM, the 5-kilometer route began on the paths of the St. Francis Way, which saw over three hundred walkers cross the olive-growing landscape of the Roman Sabina. The arrival at the Parco della Resistenza opened the convivial part: lunch with Sabina products prepared in collaboration with the Hotel Management School of Palombara Sabina, an oil bar for tastings, and stalls selling oil, jams, ceramics, and textiles.

In the afternoon, the institutional round table Between taste, spirituality, and health was held, with administrators, representatives of olive oil consortia, and wellness experts. To close, a demonstration of handmade pasta with fettuccine prepared by the women of the village.

The edition was organized by the Municipality of Montelibretti with the patronage of the Ministry of Agriculture, Food Sovereignty and Forestry and a contribution from Arsial, in collaboration with Coldiretti Lazio, Città dell'Olio, and the Monti Lucretili Regional Natural Park.
