In Santa Lucia ai Monti, a hamlet of Valeggio sul Mincio in the province of Verona, the Sant'Eurosia Festival is one of the most cherished events of spring. Sant'Eurosia is venerated as the protector of harvests and invoked against storms and hail: for this reason, the festival retains a strong peasant root, tied to the land and the cycle of the seasons.
Tortellini, Grills, and Evenings Under the Stars
For five days, between late April and early May, the food stalls offer the famous Valeggio tortellini and delicious grilled chickens, also served in covered areas to ensure the festival proceeds in any weather. The evenings are enlivened by orchestras, DJ sets, and themed evenings, in a journey of music and dancing under the stars that attracts visitors from all over the Veronese area.
Tradition and Community
The festival, organized by the Circolo NOI Santa Lucia ai Monti, is a perfect balance between celebration, tradition, and territory. Among the most characteristic moments is the blessing of agricultural machinery in the name of Sant'Eurosia, which renews the community's bond with the rural world of the Mincio morainic hills every year.
Sant'Eurosia Festival — edition 2026
The 2026 edition of the Sant'Eurosia Festival takes place from April 30 to May 4 in Santa Lucia ai Monti, a hamlet of Valeggio sul Mincio. Five days dedicated to conviviality, music, and local traditions, organized by the Circolo NOI Santa Lucia ai Monti.
The stars are the Valeggio tortellini and grilled chickens, also served in covered areas. Evenings are enlivened by orchestras, DJ sets, and themed events, while the festival retains its peasant roots with the traditional blessing of agricultural machinery in the name of Sant'Eurosia.
