The traditional Veronese stalls in Piazza Bra
The Saint Lucia Fair is one of the most cherished events in the Veronese calendar. It takes place in the days leading up to December 13th, Saint Lucia's feast day, culminating on the night between the 12th and 13th, whenโaccording to traditionโthe Saint brings gifts to the children of Verona, accompanied by her donkey.
The heart of the fair are the stalls that fill Piazza Bra, at the foot of the Arena, and extend along Via Roma and the historic center. The stalls, managed by street vendors from all over Italy, offer toys, sweets, ceramics, handicrafts, and gift ideas for Christmas: an unmissable event for families and children.
In Via degli Alpini, the Village of Traditions and Flavors of Verona's Twin Cities is set up: Munich with Bavarian beer and products, Salzburg with floral arrangements, Corfu and Pula with their regions, and Nuremberg with typical sausages and sweets. An international corner that enriches the Christmas atmosphere.
Along with the Christmas markets and ice skating rinks, the Saint Lucia Fair lights up the center of Verona, in Veneto, with festive lights and atmosphere, renewing a ritual that has bound the city to its most beloved saint for centuries.
The Saint Lucia Fair will return to Verona in December 2026, in the days leading up to December 13th, the Saint's feast day. In Piazza Bra, along Via Roma, and in the historic center, stalls will offer toys, sweets, ceramics, and crafts, while Via degli Alpini will host the Village of Traditions and Flavors of Verona's Twin Cities. Precise dates and times will be confirmed by the Municipality of Verona in the weeks preceding the event.
The detailed program and schedule for the 2026 Saint Lucia Fair will be published by the Municipality of Verona closer to the event. Based on the established tradition, the fair takes place in the days leading up to December 13th with stalls in Piazza Bra, Via Roma, the historic center, and the Village of Twin Cities in Via degli Alpini.
Piazza Bra is located in the heart of Verona, in front of the Arena, a few minutes' walk from Verona Porta Nuova station. Traffic diversions are planned in the historic center on the days of the fair.
The fair is held in the days leading up to December 13th, with stalls open from morning to evening (extended evening hours on the last few days).
Free entry; purchases at the stalls.
