About Cherry Festival

In Sanguinetto, in the Bassa Veronese region, the Sant'Antonio "Cherry" Festival is the most anticipated event of mid-June. Organized by Pro Loco Le Contrà, it livens up the town for several consecutive evenings with orchestras and tribute bands, a well-stocked food and wine stand, a rich charity raffle, and many activities for families. A traditional popular festival, dedicated to the patron saint Sant'Antonio, that combines devotion, ballroom dancing, shows, and the flavour of the cherry season in the Veronese plain.

Sant'Antonio's Feast in the Bassa Veronese

The Sant'Antonio "Cherry" Festival is the popular festival of Sanguinetto, a municipality in the Bassa Veronese plain in the province of Verona. It is held around mid-June, close to the feast day of Sant'Antonio of Padua (June 13th), and takes its name from the cherry season that ripens during this period in the Veneto countryside.

Several Evenings of Festivities

The event is organized by Pro Loco Le Contrà with the patronage of the Municipality of Sanguinetto and the collaboration of local associations, including AVIS and AIDO. For several consecutive evenings, the town comes alive with live music: ballroom orchestras and tribute bands performing homage to great Italian and international music artists, from Zucchero to the Bee Gees, take turns on stage.

Gastronomy and Charity Raffle

The heart of the festival is the food and wine stand, open every evening, where you can taste traditional Veronese dishes accompanied by local wines. Alongside the shows, there is the rich charity raffle, a true classic of village festivals, with proceeds going to community initiatives. With dancing, good food, and conviviality, the Cherry Festival is an authentic opportunity to experience the festive spirit of the towns in the Veronese plain.

Cherry Festival — edition 2026

The Sant'Antonio "Cherry" Festival 2026 returns to liven up Sanguinetto in mid-June with five evenings of festivities: live music with orchestras and tribute bands, a food stand open every evening, a charity raffle, and activities for all ages, organized by Pro Loco Le Contrà with the patronage of the Municipality.

The 2026 edition of the Cherry Festival confirms the formula of consecutive evenings of celebration in the centre of Sanguinetto. Between ballroom orchestras, tribute bands dedicated to music legends, the food and wine stand, and the rich charity raffle, Pro Loco Le Contrà offers the most anticipated event of the Sanguinetto summer, with the patronage of the Municipality and the collaboration of AVIS and AIDO.
