The San Rocco Festival is the summer celebration of the hamlet of Verica, a small community in the Municipality of Pavullo nel Frignano, in the province of Modena, in the heart of the Modenese Apennines. It takes place in mid-August, traditionally on the weekend around the feast day of San Rocco (August 16th), and represents one of those moments when an entire mountain village comes together to share good food, music, and tradition.

The heart of the festival is the food stand, where you can taste typical dishes of Emilian Apennine cuisine: the unmissable crescentine (the tigelle of Frignano), local cured meats, traditional first courses, and homemade desserts.
