Drama, comedy and great performers at the San Pietro Theatre in Montecchio Maggiore
The San Pietro Theatre on Via Matteotti is the hub for drama and live performance in Montecchio Maggiore, in the province of Vicenza. Its Theatre Season, curated by the Municipality in collaboration with the regional circuit Arteven and FITA Vicenza, offers a programme each year that combines great performers, comedy, and new productions.
The subscription programme features seven titles, starting at 9:00 PM, alongside non-subscription events with companies affiliated with FITA. The shows range from brilliant comedies to civil monologues, from musical storytelling to historical narratives, featuring established names from the Italian stage.
The San Pietro season is one of the main cultural events in West Vicenza: an opportunity for the audiences of Montecchio Maggiore and surrounding towns to experience quality theatre without having to travel to larger cities. The series is complemented by a Sunday programme for children.
The 2025/2026 season at the San Pietro Theatre includes seven subscription shows produced with Arteven and two non-subscription shows with FITA Vicenza, as well as a Sunday series for children. Kicking off in December 2025 with Maria Amelia Monti, the season continues from January to March 2026 with a programme alternating comedy, monologues, and storytelling. Shows begin at 9:00 PM.
