San Lorenzo Nuovo Gnocchi Festival

2025 Edition — the 46th Gnocchi Festival

From August 11th to 20th, 2025, San Lorenzo Nuovo hosted the 46th edition of its historic festival. Every evening, from 7:30 PM to 11:30 PM, the stands set up in Piazza Europa and the historic center served gnocchi prepared by hand with Alto Viterbese potatoes in the four classic varieties — meat sauce, butter and sage, vodka, and pesto — along with appetizers, Tuscia cheeses, sausages, beans with pork rinds, and watermelon.

The ten evenings were enlivened by live music, shows, and folk dancing, with craft, hobby, and local product markets along the village streets. Thanks to the work of over 200 Pro Loco volunteers, the 2025 edition also confirmed the festival as the most important gastronomic event in the Alta Tuscia during the Ferragosto period, despite a few evenings being disrupted by bad weather.
