In Sale Marasino, overlooking Lake Iseo in the province of Brescia, the hamlet of Conche hosts the Festa di San Giòan dè lé Sardéne every summer. The dialect name refers to Saint John and the "sardene", or lake agoni, the typical freshwater sardines that are the symbol of the event.
Three evenings of taste and music
For three evenings, along Via Conche, food stands offer lake sardines and other traditional dishes, accompanied by live music. The festival maintains a strong link with its religious dimension: on Sunday, Holy Mass is celebrated, while on the patron saint's day, Mass and a procession are held, followed by a concert by the Coro Is.Ca. and a convivial moment.
A charitable festival
The event is organized by Pro Loco Centrolago Sale Marasino and has a charitable purpose: the proceeds are donated to charity. It is an event cherished by the community of the hamlet, combining lake identity, gastronomy, and tradition.

The 2026 edition of the Festa di San Giòan dè lé Sardéne enlivens the Conche hamlet of Sale Marasino from Friday, June 19 to Sunday, June 21. For three evenings, along Via Conche, food stands offer lake sardines (agoni) and other traditional dishes, with live music.
On Sunday, Holy Mass is scheduled. On Tuesday, June 24, for the patron saint's day, Mass and procession are held, followed by a concert by the Coro Is.Ca. and a convivial moment. The proceeds from the event are donated to charity.

Sale Marasino is located on the Brescia side of Lake Iseo, reachable by car along the SP510 or by train on the Brescia-Iseo-Edolo line. The Conche hamlet is a short distance from the center.
