The Patron Saint's Fair
The San Fereolo Fair, also known as the Sagra di San Fereolo, is the traditional event of Tavernerio, a municipality in the province of Como at the gateway to the Larian Triangle. It takes place in spring along Via I Maggio, the road leading to the sanctuary dedicated to the patron saint.
Stalls, Masses, and Community
The day features around forty stalls assigned through a municipal tender, offering products and goods of various kinds. Alongside the market aspect, there is a devotional dimension with masses at the Sanctuary of San Fereolo, and a community focus with catering services, workshops, and activities for children. The fair attracts a good number of visitors each year, including those from neighboring towns.
A Festival That Enlivens the Town
The San Fereolo Fair is organized by the Municipality of Tavernerio and is the focal point of a day that involves the entire town. On the same date, the SanfePop music festival also takes place, demonstrating how the patron saint's commemoration has become an event capable of appealing to all generations.
San Fereolo Fair — edition 2026
The 2026 San Fereolo Fair will be held on Sunday, May 31st in Tavernerio (CO), along Via I Maggio and around the Sanctuary of San Fereolo. The Municipality has confirmed the holding of the traditional patron saint's fair.
The day will feature market stalls, masses at the sanctuary, catering services, workshops, and activities for children. The SanfePop music festival will also take place on the same day at Parco della Casarga.
