Sammaurese Sausage Festival

The 2025 edition

In 2025, the Sammaurese Sausage Festival returned punctually to its historic dates, August 11th, 12th, and 13th, confirming its status as one of the most popular gastronomic events of the Cilento summer. As every year, the organization was handled by the Pro Loco of San Mauro la Bruca, with stands set up in the town square and the village's historic center, in the Province of Salerno.

At the heart of the festival, once again, was the Sammaurese sausage prepared according to ancient custom, with meat cut with a knife rather than ground, served alongside Cilento-style fusilli with ragù, traditional peasant-style side dishes, local wines, and artisanal desserts. The three evenings were accompanied by live music performances and dancing in the square which, by tradition, continued late into the night.

The 2025 edition served as a prelude to the 2026 edition, which celebrates fifty years since the birth of the event.
