Edition 2025 — Monterosso Salted Anchovy

In September 2025, Monterosso al Mare celebrated the Salted Anchovy Festival, with stands dedicated to salt-cured anchovies, a guided tour of the salting laboratory, and a boat trip for lampara fishing, in an event dedicated to the maritime tradition of the Cinque Terre.

The 2025 edition confirmed the tradition of the Salted Anchovy Festival in Monterosso al Mare, distinct from the Fried Anchovy Festival in June. In September, the village celebrated the art of salting, with food stalls dedicated to salt-cured anchovies and dishes of maritime cuisine.

As per tradition, the festival also offered a guided tour of the salting laboratory and a boat trip to witness lampara fishing, providing visitors with an immersive experience into the blue fish culture of the Cinque Terre.
