The patronal feast of Cartigliano
The Saint Osvaldo Festival is the patronal feast of Cartigliano, a municipality in the Vicenza plain on the Brenta river, in the province of Vicenza. It is held at the beginning of August in the setting of the park of Villa Morosini Cappello, one of the most elegant historic residences in the area, and attracts residents and visitors from neighboring towns in the Alto Vicentino and Bassanese every year.
Gastronomy, music, and fun
Organized by the Pro Loco Cartigliano, the festival offers a food stand for five days with traditional Venetian dishes, live music evenings with orchestras and bands, dance performances (from ballroom to Latin American dances), DJ sets, rides and a funfair for children, and the classic charity raffle. Simultaneously, the Expo in Villa, a trade and craft fair, takes place, bringing exhibitors and local artisans to the square.
The grand finale with fireworks
As tradition dictates, the festival concludes with an evocative fireworks display at midnight on the last day, illuminating the sky above the villa's park and bidding farewell to the patron saint, Saint Osvaldo. An event that combines devotion, conviviality, and village celebration in the heart of the Vicenza summer.
Saint Osvaldo Festival — edition 2026
The 2026 Saint Osvaldo Festival takes place in Cartigliano (VI) from August 4th to 8th, in the park of Villa Morosini Cappello (Piazza Concordia 1). The patronal feast offers music with live orchestras, dance performances, shows, a funfair for children, and a charity raffle, accompanied by a food stand with traditional Venetian dishes.
Concurrently, the 18th Expo in Villa, a trade and craft fair, is held. The festival concludes with the traditional midnight fireworks display on the last day.
