The feast of Saint Mark the patron saint

The Saint Mark's Festival is the patronal feast of Agugliaro, a small municipality in the Lower Vicenza area, in the province of Vicenza. It is celebrated on April 25th, the day of Saint Mark the Evangelist, and the day begins at 10 AM with the Holy Mass in the small church dedicated to the saint, in honor of the patron.

Vicenza gastronomy and culture

From 12 PM and then from the evening, the multi-purpose pavilion in Via Umberto I hosts lunch and dinner organized by the Pro Loco of Agugliaro, with a rich traditional menu: arrosticini, bigoli with ragù, tripe, tagliata, and other specialties, accompanied by local wine and typical desserts. In the afternoon, at 3 PM, a guided tour of the villas and oratories of Agugliaro, authentic jewels of the Venetian heritage scattered throughout the municipal territory, departs from Piazza Umberto I.

Agugliaro preserves a notable heritage of noble country architecture, a testament to the culture of the 16th-century Venetian villas. The festival is the ideal opportunity to discover it, intertwining gastronomic tradition with the enhancement of the local landscape and history.
