Edition 2025 — Saint Joseph in Pozzallo

In 2025, Pozzallo once again celebrated Saint Joseph around March 19th, with the Sirata ra Ricotta on the churchyard of the Church of San Paolo Apostolo: warm ricotta, homemade bread, and moments of popular conviviality. Among the rites of devotion, the transfer of the statue, the blessing of the bread, the procession of the papier-mâché statue through the town streets, and the final fireworks display, the Iblean community renewed a deeply felt tradition.

The 2025 edition of the Saint Joseph Festival in Pozzallo confirmed the tradition revolving around March 19th. On the churchyard of the Church of San Paolo Apostolo, the appointment with the "Sirata ra Ricotta" was renewed, with warm ricotta prepared by devotees and accompanied by homemade bread, in an atmosphere of celebration and popular conviviality.

The celebrations alternated moments of reflection, such as the transfer of the statue to the altar and the blessing of the children, with the central rites of the Saint's day: the solemn concelebration with the blessing of the bread and the procession of the papier-mâché statue through the town streets. The return of the statue was greeted by the usual fireworks display, sealing a festival deeply rooted in the Iblean community.
