The Saint Anne Festival

In Bulgarograsso, a town in the Brianza area of Como Province, the Saint Anne Festival is the summer event. Dedicated to Saint Anne — whose liturgical feast day is July 26th — the festival has been running for decades and attracts thousands of visitors from surrounding towns each year, making it one of the most attended festivals in the Como area.

Faith and Popular Celebration

The event intertwines two aspects. On one hand, the religious aspect, with the Votive Mass of Saint Anne, the procession with the statue of the saint departing from Piazza Risorgimento, and the celebrations in the parish church. On the other hand, the popular aspect, marked by the renowned cuisine and bar of the "Amici di Sant'Anna", evenings of music and dancing, children's games, performances, and the traditional fireworks displays that conclude the main days.

A Landmark for the Territory

Lasting several days and organized by the volunteers of the Amici di Sant'Anna, the festival is much more than a village feast: it is a moment of identity for Bulgarograsso and the entire area, capable of bringing together devotion, conviviality, and good Como cuisine over several days in July.
