Edition 2025 — Sagra te lu puercu

In 2025, the Sagra te lu puercu once again represented the villagers' festival of the Fòcara of Novoli, in the province of Lecce. In Piazza Sant'Antonio Abate, the traditional "paninu cu lu puercu" and Salento folk music brought the community together around the fire ritual dedicated to Saint Anthony the Abbot.

Sagra te lu puercu 2025

In January 2025, the Sagra te lu puercu confirmed its role as a defining identity event within the Fòcara of Novoli, the great feast in honor of Saint Anthony the Abbot. As per tradition, Piazza Sant'Antonio Abate came alive with the sale of the "paninu cu lu puercu", a sandwich with pork prepared according to the ancient Salento peasant recipe.

The villagers' festival, amidst flavors, conviviality, and Salento folk music, brought residents and visitors together around the great ritual bonfire, in a free-admission evening that celebrated the collective memory of the town of Novoli and the entire Salento region of Puglia.
