The 2025 Sagra 'ri Fasul in Casalbuono

The 2025 edition of the Sagra 'ri Fasul was held in Casalbuono, in the province of Salerno, during the traditional Ferragosto period, confirming the festival's historical placement in the second week of August.

As every year, the town center hosted food stalls dedicated to the Casalbuono bean, protected by the Slow Food Presidium: legume soups, lasagne with bean sauce, and stewed beans with pork rind and chili. Alongside the tastings, local farm stalls offered direct sales of local ecotypes, from Sant'antere to Panzariedda.

There was no shortage of folk music and, above all, the scucchiulatura: the collective shelling of pods in the square, the peasant gesture from which the festival takes its dialect name, «ri fasul scucchiulariedd».

The event, organized by the Pro Loco Casalbuono with the Municipality, remains one of the most cherished summer gatherings in the Vallo di Diano, alongside the festivals of other villages in the Campania region.
