The feast of the patron saint and the golden potato

The Sagra di San Pietro is the patronal feast of Roveredo di Guà, a municipality in the Bassa Veronese area bordering the province of Padua. For years, the sagra has been held together with the Fiera della Patata Dorata del Guà, dedicated to the potato grown along the Guà river, a typical local product celebrated at the fair. The event is organized by the Pro Loco of Roveredo di Guà, in collaboration with the Consorzio Pro Loco Verona Est.

Gastronomy, dancing, and fun

The heart of the festival is the Pro Loco's food stall, offering traditional Veronese dishes and potato-based specialties. The evenings are enlivened by music and dancing—ballroom and Latin-American—and entertainment for all tastes. There is also a funfair and a charity raffle, essential elements of every village sagra in the Veronese area.

Linked to the feast day of the patron saint San Pietro, the sagra is typically held in early July, around the first Sunday of the month. It is a gathering occasion for the community of Roveredo di Guà and nearby towns, featuring good food, agricultural tradition, and a festive atmosphere.
