The Almisano village festival
The Sagra di Almisano is the parish festival of Saints Peter and Paul that enlivens the hamlet of Almisano, in Lonigo (province of Vicenza) every summer. Organized by Pro Almisano Giovani, it is an event deeply rooted in the community's life, where religious tradition and popular celebration intertwine.
Sport, games, and conviviality
The festival program includes activities for all ages:
- Football and volleyball tournaments;
- The charity raffle;
- The tractor exhibition;
- The 'assalto alla cuccagna' (a traditional game of climbing a greased pole);
- Activities and games for children;
- The food stand with traditional dishes.
A community celebration
The festival takes place at Via Chiesa, in the heart of the hamlet, and represents one of the most cherished gatherings of the year for Almisano. Behind the organization is the volunteer work of Pro Almisano Giovani, which handles the preparations and donates part of the proceeds to local initiatives. An example of the vibrancy of the many small festivals that animate the Leoniceno area and the entire lower Vicenza region.

For 2026, a new edition of the Sagra di Almisano is expected, the parish festival of SS. Peter and Paul in the hamlet of Lonigo, usually held between late June and early July.
