Two days of historical reenactment in the center of Affi, with knights, flag-wavers, a medieval market, and banquets
The Festa Medievale di Affi is one of the most well-known historical reenactments in the hinterland of Lake Garda. Every year, in June, the historic center of Affi (province of Verona, Veneto) transforms into a medieval village: alleys, courtyards, and small squares fill with artisan stalls, taverns, and costumed characters that transport visitors back to the atmosphere of the Middle Ages.
The program combines roaming performances and moments of great scenic impact. Among the protagonists: flag-wavers and drummers, medieval dance groups, archers, jugglers, and fire-eaters. Artisans – blacksmiths, potters, weavers – work live in workshops set up along the streets, while workshops also involve children with pottery and old-fashioned games.
The convivial heart of the festival is the medieval banquet, served in the evening in the village taverns. The two days conclude with a fireworks display that illuminates the historic center, while processions, parades, and animated readings mark the rhythm of the reenactment.
Organized by the Comitato Festa Medievale di Affi (Medieval Festival Committee of Affi), the event has become an anticipated appointment for the entire hilly area between Garda and Valdadige over the years. Its location, just a few kilometers from the lake and the Affi highway exit, makes it easily accessible and an ideal destination for an early summer trip in the province of Verona.
The 26th edition of the Festa Medievale di Affi returns on June 13 and 14, 2026, in the historic center of the Veronese municipality. Confirmed on the official website, the 2026 edition offers the usual blend of artisan market, performances, parades, and convivial moments spread between Saturday afternoon and Sunday evening.
Throughout the two days: pottery workshops, taverns, treasure hunts, medieval dance groups (including the Tour en l'Air Ballet), and artisan workshops. Detailed program and updated times on affimedievale.it.
Affi can be reached by car via the A22 Brenner motorway (Affi exit) or the A4 (Affi/Lago di Garda Sud exit). By train, the reference stations are Verona Porta Nuova and Peschiera del Garda, connected by public buses.
Access to the village is generally free. The medieval banquet and some activities may require booking: for updated details and times, consult the official website affimedievale.it or the Instagram profile @affimedievale.
