Sagra dello Struzzo

In 2025, the 27th Sagra dello Struzzo was held from July 25 to August 3, organized by the Pro Loco of Pozzuolo del Friuli with about two hundred volunteers. The festival celebrated ostrich meat – lean and rich in protein, iron, omega 3 and 6 – offered in ragù, stew, goulash, and meatballs, with raw material from a farm in Magnano in Riviera. The program alternated between traditional dance orchestras and live music, the youth area with emerging bands, DJ sets, and a beer garden, the foam party for families and children, and the charity raffle with gastronomic prizes. The sustainable choice of ceramic plates and metal cutlery, and the affordable prices were appreciated, with about a thousand visitors per evening.
