A number that alone tells of the deep bond between the village and its chestnut groves, which cover the slopes between the hamlets and have shaped the local economy and cuisine for generations.

The festival is held in the recreational area of Via Milano, the heart of the village's summer and autumn events. The absolute star is the chestnut, served mainly as roasted chestnuts (caldarroste), alongside dishes and desserts of the cold season. The day, with free admission, is managed by the Pro Loco Progetto per Valbrona, which organizes most of the municipality's events.
