The Festa Patronale della Madonna della Cintura is the main event of the year for Ozzero, a small Municipality in the Metropolitan City of Milan nestled in the Lombard Park of the Valle del Ticino, along the Bereguardo Naviglio. It is traditionally celebrated at the beginning of September, around the first Sunday of the month, and lasts for four days.
The festival intertwines two souls. There is the devotional dimension, with religious celebrations and the procession in honor of the Madonna della Cintura; and there is the popular dimension, made up of musical evenings, shows, food stalls, and gatherings that attract residents from neighboring towns.
A village festival between the Naviglio and the countryside
