About Sagra della Patata
A festival with over twenty years of history
The Sagra della Patata di Lazzate is one of the most well-known events in the Brianza calendar. Organised by the Associazione Borgo in Festa in the historic village of Lazzate, a municipality in the province of Monza and Brianza, it takes place every year in September and has surpassed twenty editions.
The Lazzate potato
The festival celebrates a product deeply linked to the town: according to local tradition, potato cultivation in Lazzate dates back to the late eighteenth century. To enhance this heritage, the Municipality is working on obtaining DeCO (Denominazione Comunale d'Origine - Municipal Designation of Origin) recognition for the Lazzate potato, a process that makes the most recent editions of the festival even more significant.
Cuisine, music, and associations
The heart of the event is the large restaurant, which opens for dinner and, on some days, also for lunch, with table service and reservations. Every evening there is a musical offering, from DJ sets to cover bands, to shows with majorettes and bands. The festival is made possible by the network of local associations, which have always collaborated in its organisation.

Lazzate is located in the upper western Brianza, bordering the province of Varese. By car from the Pedemontana or the SS Varesina; the nearest train station is on the Saronno-Como line.
