The Sagra del Pesce (Fish Festival) of Concorezzo is one of the most beloved gastronomic events in the Province of Monza and Brianza. It is organized by the Associazione Cannisti Concorezzesi "Scarpun", the historic association of local fishermen who every year put on a great festival in the Parco di Villa Zoja, the green lung and heart of Concorezzo's events.

A fish kitchen in the heart of the plain

The menu is the real star: seafood pasta, rice with mussels and clams, fried calamari, stuffed cuttlefish, and swordfish are the dishes that have made the festival famous. A proposal that brings the flavors of the sea to the table, miles away from the coast, in an area where the agricultural and Brianza tradition gladly embraces marine specialties.

The Scarpun, soul of the festival

Behind the festival is the voluntary work of the Scarpun, the association of anglers (fishermen with a rod) from Concorezzo, who through this festival raise funds and keep the passion for fishing alive in the area. The event has grown over time to become a September classic, capable of attracting families and gourmets from all over Brianza.

The Sagra del Pesce is one of the elements of the long program of Concorezzo d'Estate (Concorezzo in Summer), the schedule that from May to September enlivens Villa Zoja park with concerts, festivals, and shows. Among its evenings, there is no shortage of live music and tribute bands, which also make the festival an occasion for entertainment for all ages.
