The 2025 Edition
On Saturday, October 11th, and Sunday, October 12th, 2025, Licenza hosted the thirty-sixth edition of the Sagne 'e Farre Festival. The stalls set up in the historic center opened at 12:00 PM on both days, serving the village's signature dish until it ran out: hand-rolled spelt flour fettuccine, dressed with fresh tomato and spicy chili sauce according to the recipe handed down in the village.
Alongside the sagne, the stalls offered artisanal cured meats and cheeses, wood-fired bread, homemade desserts, and local wine. Many visitors took advantage of the weekend to walk to the archaeological area of Horace's villa and the Nymphaeum of the Orsini, or to visit Orsini Castle and the Horatian Museum, on a day enhanced by the autumn colors of the Lucretili Mountains Regional Natural Park. The event was organized by the Licenza Pro Loco with the support of the Municipality, in the Metropolitan City of Rome.
