Sagne e Fagioli Festival

The forty-second edition of the Sagne e Fagioli Festival took place in Arnara, in the province of Frosinone, on Saturday, September 13, 2025, in keeping with the tradition of the second Saturday of September.

Faithful to a ritual repeated for over forty years, the festival saw a hundred local women, many in Ciociaro costumes, engaged in the hand-preparation of sagne e fagioli, the rustic dish of local peasant tradition. Starting in the evening, the cooking and distribution enlivened the alleys of the medieval historic center, with food stands, local wine, craft markets, folk music, and dancing. The event, with free admission and organized by the Municipality together with the Pro Loco, attracted numerous visitors from neighboring towns, confirming the strong bond of the Arnara community with its gastronomic identity.
