The 13th edition, August 14, 2025
On the evening of August 14, 2025, Piazza della Repubblica in Castiglione Messer Marino (CH) hosted the thirteenth edition of the Sagne a lù cuttèur Festival. From 8:00 PM, the large copper cauldron returned to the spotlight: handmade sagne, seasoned with sausage, bacon, and sweet pepper, were cooked on-site and offered to the public according to the tradition that dictates they be eaten all together, from the same cuttèure and with the hands.
The event, included in the Alto Vastese mid-August festival calendar, confirmed the village's commitment to promoting its agro-pastoral cuisine, featuring both cauldron-cooked sagne and the famous Ventricina del Vastese.

The handmade sagne are cooked in the large copper cauldron and seasoned with sausage, bacon, and sweet pepper, according to the traditional recipe of Castiglione Messer Marino.
